This awesome shot was taken (by someone else!) on Tuesday night in Civic (the CBD of Canberra). A storm similar to the type that hit out palce on New Year's strode through the northern suburbs of Canberra.
Flash Floods and severe hail damage was the order of the day. Even at 6am yesterday I could still see lightning to the north as I walked Bishy.
The storm hit Canberra about 9.30pm.
That white stuff on the ground is a half metre of hail.
The location is Northborne Ave looking toward Sydney.
